Established in 1927, Lone Pine was the first and now largest koala sanctuary in the world giving home to around 130 koalas. The "Lone Pine" is a Hoop Pine next to the souvenir shop that was planted by Daniel Clarkson in 1865. Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary also plays host to over 80 species of other Australian animals. You can talk to cockatoos, wander around the Nature Kingdom to find some kangaroos to feed and even cuddle koalas!
